How we handle it
When you change a floor plan, the heating and cooling has to change with it. We reroute ducts, add returns and size equipment for the house as it will be, not as it was.
For replacements, we size the unit with a proper heat-loss calculation. Oversized equipment costs more, cycles on and off, and is less comfortable.
Gas appliances and gas piping in Ontario must be installed by TSSA-certified technicians. Our HVAC partners hold the required certification.

My finished basement is cold. Can that be fixed?
Usually. It's often a matter of supply and return placement, insulation, or adding a ductless unit.
