How we handle it
A garage door is the largest moving part of the house and one of the most visible. We help you choose a door that suits the front of your home and install it balanced, so the opener isn't doing the lifting.
Springs are under high tension and should not be a do-it-yourself repair. We replace springs and cables in matched sets and check the door's balance afterwards.
If there's a room above or beside the garage, an insulated door makes a noticeable difference to comfort in that room.
Common questions
My door won't close. What should I check?
Make sure nothing is blocking the safety sensors near the floor and that they're pointed at each other. If that's not it, call us.
How long do springs last?
They're rated by number of cycles, so it depends on how often the door is used. A broken spring usually shows as a door that's suddenly very heavy.
Can I keep my opener with a new door?
Often yes, if it's in good condition and suited to the new door's weight.
